All About Me!

My name is Megan Lynn Schmidt. I was born and raised in Allentown Pennsylvania by a wonderful family who preached the importance of staying young at heart.
Before I began my endeavors in theatre, I trained as a competitive figure skater and found the joys of performing for all types of audiences.
I am an animal lover with a zest for life and a wanderlust soul. Beyond performing, I have a knack for arts and crafts and even worked as a body artist for a time.
I am an NYC based actor/singer/dancer.

Amidst the 2020 pandemic I proudly graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ithaca College with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

I am currently touring the USA with Missoula Children's Theatre, bringing Johnny Appleseed to communities all around.

This Spring 2021, Megan portrayed the role of Sunny in Silver Glasses production of Westerwynne, a new play. Tickets are available on the Silver Glass website. Westerwynne focuses on an odd group of animals joining together on a mystical journey to a new land.

In October 2020, Megan was cast in Silver Glass Production's devised movement piece 'Time', where she and scene partner Suzanne explored the topic of "Trauma Freezing Time".
